Project Home Emergency Housing Fund
The Emergency Housing Fund was created to help households unable to cover housing costs due to loss of income from ICE enforcement and fear of detention.
Emergency Housing Fund Update
Since launching the Emergency Housing Fund in January 2026, Project Home has raised $658,361 to help families stay housed during a period of urgent economic disruption.
As of May 15, $628,912 has been distributed directly to housing payments, helping 301 households cover rent or mortgage costs and avoid displacement.
This campaign is now closed to new donations. We are deeply grateful to the 855 supporters who made this rapid response possible.
Every dollar given to the Emergency Housing Fund went directly to housing assistance. Donor support moved quickly from gift to impact — helping families remain safely housed when one missed payment could have led to eviction, homelessness, or deeper crisis.
While this campaign has closed, Project Home’s work continues. Your support still helps Maine families access stable housing, avoid homelessness, and build long-term security.
Project Home is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and all donations are fully tax-deductible as allowed by law.
